Jism

Jism was a trend setter movie in Bollywood. It also marked super model John Abraham’s debut in Bollywood. Mahesh Bhatt was the writer for this movie. He was strongly inspired by a Hollywood film Body Heat. Amit Saxena was the director for this movie.

Sonia (Bipasha Basu) is a very selfish girl. She marries an old man Rohit Khanna (Gulshan Grover) for his property and she also kills his first wife. Then she starts her attempts to kill Rohit. In a party she meets a young guy Kabir Lal (John Abraham) who is a lawyer.

Kabir falls in love with Sonia. Sonia utilises his love also for her selfishness. She asks him to kill her husband and make it look like an accident. Kabir manages to do that. But later he notices her cruel acts. Sonia kills him and dies of the bullets which come from Kabir’s gun.

Mahesh Bhatt has added some hot scenes to his screenplay. After this movie many directors tried to make this type of movies. Bipasha Basu was nominated for the Filmfare awards.
